I am A Performer
I was born in Austin, Texas and moved to Colorado when I was eight years old. From the time I was young, I have been jumping on a trampoline and playing a multitude of sports. As I grew, sports became my highest priority but my art would soon embody my experiences as a diver.
Diving has opened my eyes to a unique way of producing art. The passion that fueled me as an athlete, now lends itself to my art, which relies on repetitition just as diving does. Being an acrobat, I have come to understand how my body appears on the outside in relation to how I perceive my body from the inside.
Athletics has allowed me to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Electronic Media Art and Design at the University of Denver. This given me the opportunity to make connections I would not have made otherwise. As a diver and an artist, I make an attempt to experience each moment with the knoledge that it could be my last.
